The OABA Scholarship Fund

Again this year, OABA is offering two $1,000.00 cash scholarships to graduating seniors, one to a male and one to a female student. The criteria for the gifts are as follows:

(a) All applicants must either be residents of the Town of Oconomowoc or students attending either Arrowhead HS, or Oconomowoc HS.
(b) He or she must be a senior, expecting to graduate in June 2008, and planning to attend a two or four year college.
(c) The student’s Grade Point Average (GPA) must be 3.0 or better, or the equivalent.
(d) There must be community involvement
(e) The student should also be involved in extra-curricular school activities, and
(f) An essay must be submitted entitled What Your Community Means to You.

The deadline for the submission of the application and other documents is May 5, 2008. All applications should be sent to:

The awards will be made to the winning students at the regular monthly meeting of the OABA to be held at Noon on Tuesday, May 27th, 2008. Hopefully, we will have newspaper coverage and their parents could accompany them.
